Google Fiber Now Available in Kansas City

Google has finally announced pricing for their new 1Gbit/s Fiber Internet serivce in Kansas City (MO and KS).  It includes thew new Google TV service, and they even include a "free" option after making just a 1-time payment!  The prospect of getting Google Fiber in St. Louis was one of the reasons we founded WasabiNet, so here's hoping Google moves to town soon!

Google is offering three plans. The Gigabit + TV service is $120 a month, with a $300 construction fee waived if you sign a two-year contract.

"Google is planning to launch an experiment that we hope will make Internet access better and faster for everyone. We plan to test ultra-high speed broadband networks in one or more trial locations across the country. Our networks will deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today over 1 gigabit per second, fiber-to-the-home connections.
